We are officially one month away until spring! With warmer weather around the corner, it won't be long before you start seeing bits of green in and around your pond. Depending on the type of growth...it may already be there!
Spring treatments are heavily determined by the temperatures. Most pond algaecides and herbicides can be used once water temperatures have hit 45 degrees Fahrenheit or above. When temperatures are still too cool, that does not mean treatments are impossible or unnecessary. This is still a great time to add more "preventative" measures like pond dye and pond bacteria to stay ahead of severe pond growth prevalent in summer months.
