If you are having trouble with slow flowing toilets it could be a result of invasive tree roots entering your sewer/septic pipes. Some trees like willows and poplars are known to cause issues. If you have these types of trees in and around your property and are unable or unwilling to take them down it is important to use Sanco’s Root Destroyer to help maintain your septic/sewer lines.
Root Destroyer is a granular copper sulfate product that should be applied in the toilet closest to your tank. Pour ½ pound increments of copper down the toilet and flush until you have applied a total of 2 pounds. It is recommended to use Root Destroyer 2 times a year or whenever your slow flow is thought to be caused by excessive roots.
The copper may take several weeks to be completely absorbed by the roots and will not harm the overall health of the tree. For more information on Sanco’s septic products contact our helpful staff.
