Pond Muck Removal

31 Mar 2011

Ponds are built to hold and trap water.  Overtime, ponds will trap much more than just water.  This buildup is usually in the form of pond muck and can be a combination of many different types of organic material.  Pond muck can turn a beautiful pond into a nightmare if it is not maintained properly.

Pond muck is the result of dead vegetation, fish debris, leaves, and fertilizer run-off.  The most effective way to maintain your pond muck levels is to use beneficial pond bacteria.  Sanco Industries has 3 different types of beneficial pond bacteria each vary in concentration.

Natural Pond Cleaner is a liquid bacteria that is considered a maintenance dose and should be used on a regular basis every other week or one time a month depending on water quality.

Natural Pond Cleaner Water Soluble Packs are a powder form of beneficial pond bacteria and are more concentrated than our liquid Natural Pond Cleaner.

Muck Doctor is the most concentrated form of beneficial pond bacteria and comes in the form of a spike.  Muck Doctor is best used along shorelines, beach, and dock areas.

All three of the above products can be very useful in your pond muck removal efforts.  For more information about pond muck removal Contact Sanco.
