Maintaining Pond Dye

22 May 2011

Maintaining a constant tint in your pond by using pond dye is a crucial part of preventative pond maintenance.  Sanco Industries recommends using pond dyes and beneficial pond bacteria as a regular part of your pond maintenance regimen.

Pond maintenance can help prevent weeds and algae from growing out of control through the warm summer months when treating with algaecides and herbicides can be tricky due to low oxygen levels.

Pond Dyes come in a variety of colors so you can choose one that suites your personal preference.  Sanco Industries manufactures 3 colors of pond dye.  Crystal Blue is the most popular pond dye and is a true blue color.  Ocean Blue will give you a tranquil turquoise color that mimics the ocean.  Black Out is gaining popularity with individually owned ponds and will give your pond a beautiful mirror look.

All of Sanco’s pond dyes are easy to use and each gallon will treat approximately 1 acre with an average depth of 4-6 feet deep.  Our pond dyes are also 100% safe for all fish, waterfowl, livestock, and recreational activities. Maintaining the color of your pond is easy, when the tint in your pond appears to be fading you should add more.  You will be adding pond dye to your pond approximately every 30 days depending on rainfall, runoff, and evaporation.
