 Pond owners often battle with pond algae which causes ponds to be green and murky. An easy solution is Crystal Plex. Crystal Plex is a liquid Copper Sulfate solution designed to eliminate various types of pond algae including filamentous, chara, and planktonic algae.

The solution can be used for long term pond algae control. Plus, it is safe for humans, fish, livestock, pets, birds, swimming, and irrigation, but it is not for use in Koi or Trout ponds. Crystal Plex’s liquid copper sulfate solution is very effective in eliminating algae, so it’s important to treat only half of your pond at a time. The reasoning is that excessive decaying of algae can reduce oxygen levels in your pond, so by treating a third to half of your pond you avoid the problem.
