24.5% Glufosinate vs. Mesotrione

At first glance, Liquid Harvest 24.5% Glufosinate and Liquid Harvest Mesotrione might seem like similar products, but there are key differences that you should take note of before you purchase.

Here are the biggest takeaways from these two products:

  • Glufosinate is non-selective, meaning anything sprayed with your mixture will likely be affected. Mesotrione is selective, meaning that only certain plants will be targeted.
  • Glufosinate is for post emergent applications, or plants that are actively growing. Mesotrione can be used for pre & post emergent applications.
  • Glufosinate is a more "fast-acting" herbicide that will take one-two weeks for full weed death. Mesotrione may take up to three.

Take a look at the Glufosinate and Mesotrione labels to see more comparisons and differences between the products. Both are great products that pack their own punch! Contact our office if you have further questions on either of these products and their usage.
