Surfactants Can Help the Efficiency of your Treatments

18 Apr 2013
When you are treating your pond for aquatic weeds, algae, and other problems, you may notice that the surface tension of the water is preventing the most optimal dispersion of your treatments. This means that you may need to use more chemical to achieve the same results. However, by utilizing a good surfactant you can easily bypass this potential problem.

A surfactant will work to break the hydrogen bond that you’ll find on the surface of most bodies of water. This allows for simpler mixing of the water and the algaecides/pond-weed-control. An added benefit is that our surfactant, Plex Mate, will also help by breaking down the waxy coating present on many aquatic weeds, thus allowing for a deeper penetration of the maintenance chemicals.

Plex Mate is just scratching the surface of what our line of pond chemicals can do for you. Take a look over our online store, and if you have any questions on any of our products simply contact us. Our representatives know our products inside and out, and will easily be able to direct you to the best product for your situation.
