Septic/Sewer Treatment

21 Sep 2011

Have you noticed your toilets water flow drastically reduced?  This could be a sign that your septic/sewer lines are becoming clogged with intrusive tree roots.  Keeping tree roots out of your septic/sewer system lines is very important.

When septic/sewer lines become clogged with tree roots you could be at risk for a back up. Sanco’s new copper sulfate based product is called Root Destroyer. Root Destroyer is very effective in killing and softening roots in your sewer/septic system. The copper sulfate in Root Destroyer will kill the roots in your sewer system leaving the tree unaffected.

It is recommended to use 2 lb. in an active 300 gallon tank 2 times a year or anytime reduced water flow thought to be caused by root growth occurs.  In ½ lb. increments, pour Root Destroyer into the toilet bowl nearest the sewer line and flush; repeat this process until the recommended dose has been added.  Root Destroyer will temporarily reduce bacterial action, but will return to normal approximately 15 days after treatment.
