The key to a healthy beautiful pond is preventative maintenance.  To use preventative maintenance on your pond, you need to be working a season ahead all the time.  Use products and techniques now that will positively affect your pond in the future.

For example, in the fall you should be focusing on applying plenty of beneficial pond bacteria to help break down dead weeds and algae, leaves, and to neutralize fertilizer run-off.  Sanco’s Natural Pond Cleaner is a beneficial pond bacteria that is simply poured into your pond at a rate of 1 gallon for every acre with an average depth of 4-6 feet.  Applying generous doses of Natural Pond Cleaner now can reduce a severe algae and weed problem in early spring.  Keeping our Crystal Blue pond dye in your pond throughout the fall will ensure your pond is tinted when it freezes.  When temperatures begin to warm in the spring and your ice melts your pond will still have a beautiful blue tint.  Crystal Blue can also be applied by pouring 1 gallon to every acre with an average depth of 4-6 feet.  Sanco has several pond dyes to choose from, depending on your personal preference.
