Pond Maintenance is Easier than You Might Think

31 Mar 2013
Pond maintenance is an integral part of every pond owner’s outdoor activities. After all, you don’t want to ignore it and end up with a pond that’s overrun with algae, pond weeds, and sludge. We here at Sanco have a 5 step plan on how to simply keep your pond in a healthy state. This will help you take your mind off of your pond, and you’ll be able to concentrate on any of your other projects this summer.

The step that you need to start on depends on what type of symptoms your pond is displaying. If you are suffering from emerged pond weeds, then you’ll want to start with an application of Catt Plex. If you have submerged pond weeds as well, you’ll want to follow up the Catt Plex with a dose of Tsunami DQ. In an effort to keep your algae under control, you’ll then want to apply some Crystal Plex, followed up with Natural Pond Cleaner in order to keep your sludge and muck buildup at a minimum.

Top it all off with a pond dye in the color of your choice (Crystal Blue, Ocean Blue, and Blackout), and your pond is going to be in a great shape for the upcoming spring and summer months. Subsequent treatments to maintain a healthy balance may be necessary, depending on the condition of your pond and a variety of other external factors.
