Pond Maintenance for Pond Weeds

Sanco has a complete line of pond maintenance products including herbicides to help control your pond weeds.  Pond weeds can be difficult to control if not taken care of on a regular basis.  We have two different pond herbicides to help in your pond maintenance weed effort.

• Tsunami DQ- for submerged and      surface weeds like duckweed.
• Catt Plex- for emerged pond weeds      like cattails.

Tsunami DQ is a diquat based pond weed control product.  Dosing can range from 2-8 quarts per acre depending on the type of weed you are trying to control.  Tsunami DQ should be applied by spray application.

Catt Plex is a glyphosate based pond weed control product.  Catt Plex will kill your emerged plants to the root so be careful not to spray your grass or any other plants that you want to keep around your pond.  Complete results can take up to 14 days depending on the plant and weather.

In order to be successful in your pond maintenance weed control efforts it is important to identify the plant your are wanting to treat and be sure you have your pond properly measured.
