Pond Maintenance Chemicals

21 Aug 2012

Rampant growth can ruin the look and usability of any pond. You want to keep on top of it with regular pond maintenance. When it comes to pond maintenance, chemicals such as algaecides and herbicides play a major role.

When it comes to a maintenance plan, we have put together a 5 Step Annual Pond Care Program that will help ensure your pond remains as beautiful and clear as possible. It all starts with determining what type of growth your pond is experiencing. If you have rooted emerged weeds (cattails) in place, you want to start with an application of Catt Plex. If you have submerged weeds growing, you’ll then want to apply Tsunami DQ in order to remove them. Finally, if you have algae growing in your pond, you’ll want to treat it with Crystal Plex.

Once you have the growth under control, you’ll want to follow up your maintenance with a pond dye in the color of your choice, and an application of Natural Pond Cleaner to help break down muck and dead weeds.

Applying these chemicals as part of your pond maintenance regiment every year will yield top-notch results. All of our products are 100% safe for humans and animals, and when applied properly will show results quickly. Contact us if you have any questions, we’ll gladly answer them.
