Leaves in Your Pond

Therefore, by not maintaining your leaves you are increasing your chance for an excess amount of pond plant growth.  It’s kind of a vicious cycle of organic layers.  Another result of an excessive amount of leaves in your pond is the tea bag effect.  Leaves in your pond can give you pond a brownish tint just like a tea bag colors your water.
