When treating pond weeds, whether they are emerged aquatic weeds or ones that sit just on the surface of the water, it is important to know what weed is being treated and how much treatment the weed needs. The same goes for other annoyances such as willow trees. A willow that is just sprouting will take less treatment than a full grown willow tree. Catt Plex is a glyphosate based herbicide that eliminates shore and emerged pond weeds to the root, or in this case willow trees. To effectively treat sprouting trees or an entire tree mix 3 ounces of Catt Plex for every gallon of water used. Obviously the amount of product used is going to depend on the size of the tree that is being treated. A full grown willow tree will have to be completed saturated for Catt Plex to do the right job. Another way that users can get the ultimate productivity out of Catt Plex is by using it with Plex Mate. Plex Mate is a product that aids in making sure other products like Catt Plex stick to the plant, getting the best use from the weed destroyer. Only 1 ounce of Plex Mate should be used with every 3 ounces of Catt Plex.
