Crystal Blue Pond Aerator

There are three factors that affect the efficiency of the pond aeration diffuser – the size of the bubbles, the depth of the pond, and the placement of the air diffuser.

The Deeper a diffuser is located, the more bubbling action it will create and a larger area will be affected.  In order to aerate deeper ponds, diffused aeration systems, like Sanco Industries Crystal Blue aeration systems are the best pond aeration kits to use. The reason for this is because the Crystal Blue aeration systems are placed in or near the deepest part of the pond.  This maximizes the aeration of the pond because aeration starts on the bottom going upwards by means of the pond aeration tubing and a pond aerator pump, regardless of how deep the pond is. As the diffused air rises to the surface, oxygen is dissolved throughout the pond. Not only do diffused aerators totally aerate the pond, they are very economical to operate because less energy is used. Any of our Crystal Blue aeration systems can be ran 24/7 and even our largest system (CB120) will only cost around $6 per month.

Crystal Blue aeration systems have three basic parts —the pond aeration compressor, the pond aeration weighted tubing, and the pond aeration diffuser(s). The pond aeration compressor is the device that sits on the shore while it pumps air into the pond aeration weighted tubing and out to the pond aeration diffuser(s) located on the bottom of the pond. Air will then rush out of the aeration diffuser, which is strategically placed on the bottom of the pond.

 When the air is diffused it sends air into thousands of tiny bubbles scrambling to the surface.  These bubbles don’t only transfer the water from the bottom to the top, they help circulate the pond water. They also add oxygen throughout the water so that aerobic bacteria can clean the pond of toxic gases like ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. The bubbles also create ripples on the surface on the pond.
