Blossom End Rot

11 Mar 2012

A common problem that plagues so many tomato growers’ harvests is blossom end rot.  Blossom end rot is a deficiency that presents on the fruit in the form of black soft spots.  These black spots are the result of a lack of calcium in your plants.

Unfortunately once you notice the black spots it is too late to treat your tomatoes for blossom end rot. Sanco’s Rot-Not Rx is a preventative product that should be used as root dip or soil applied before the fruit forms.  Rot-Not Rx is a concentrated 10% calcium formula.  The lack of calcium is one of the leading causes of blossom end rot.

Rot-Not Rx can be used for fruits, vegetables, and flower gardens.  Don’t forget Sanco also has a 5-16-12 tomato fertilizer to help maximize your harvest called TNT Tomato Booster.
