Aside from being slimy and an eyesore in your pond, algae can ruin the use of any pond. Algae control is a year round endeavor. While winter weather may not seem like algae season, it is slowly growing waiting for spring to arrive. Marginal algae growth is beneficial, but algae control is necessary to remove the threats it presents.

Periodic treatment is important to stem this opportunist plant for taking over your pond. Sanco Industries offers two ways to limit algae growth and promote a clear, healthy pond.

Crystal Plex – This liquid copper-sulfate based algaecide is easy to apply. Administer to your pond by sprayer or at the water’s edge.
Copper Sulfate – Our granular version is excellent at targeted treatments and quickly dissolves, unaffecting surrounding plants.
