The Difference Between Rust Kutter & Rust Remover

Rust can not only be an eyesore, but it can also be damaging to your products. Sanco offers two products to help fight rust…but what is the difference between our Rust Remover and Rust Kutter?

Rust Remover is a nonabrasive rust and iron remover that attaches itself to the rust for easy clean up. All you need to do is spray, scrub, and rinse. There are many surfaces that Rust Remover can be used for:

  • Sinks
  • Dishwashers
  • Tile
  • Bathtubs
  • House siding
  • Concrete
  • Pillars
  • Fences
  • Color fast fabrics
  • And more!

* Do not use this product on painted materials, natural marble, brick and stone with iron pigments, raw wood, non-color fast fabrics, water treatment equipment, or exposed/rusting metals.

Rust Kutter is a rust converter. It blocks oxygen and moisture from entering, which stops further corrosion or rust on metals. It also primes the metal for painting and will dry black, and sometimes gray or white in color. Once it has time to set and has been rinsed off, new paint can be applied to make your tools or other metals looking brand new. Follow these steps to best use this product:

  • Scrape off loose paint with a wire brush
  • Shake the product well
  • Spray/paint on Rust Kutter
  • Let it dry for 24 hours
  • Rinse
  • Brush off any residue
  • Apply your selected paint

Rust Kutter and Rust Remover are great products if used in the correct manner. Whether you have rust water stains in your bathtub or an old rusted tool, Sanco has the products to make them look better than before!
