Pond fountains are available in different varieties therefore you have to determine what type would fit your needs and budget. There are five things to consider while determining the right fountain for your pond. Depth, Size and Shape, Water Conditions, and Electric Supply are important factors.

Depth
Ponds with a depth of 5' or more can use any of our Crystal Blue pond fountains.

Size & Shape

On a round pond the pond fountain would be placed in the center. In a kidney shaped or figure 8 shaped pond you will want to place the pond fountain in the center of the larger area and consider using 2 pond fountains, 1 in each end. If your pond is long and thin, you may also consider 2 pond fountains as a single pond fountain placed in the center may not draw the water from the ends of the pond.

Water Conditions

Pond fountains like one of Sanco Industries, Inc. Crystal Blue pond fountains will work in both natural ponds and lined ponds. The water condition will dictate how often the pond fountain needs to be cleaned (generally once per season). Ponds with a lot of algae or debris may need cleaned more often. It is important to keep the water intakes as clear as possible to prevent damage to the motor.

Electric Supply

It's best to have your power source as close to the pond. Cord lengths of over 100’ require 230V pond fountains.
