Pond Dye

Preventative pond maintenance is the key to starting your pond off right for the upcoming season.  The temperatures are starting to increase and the ice and snow are melting.  Before your algae and weeds have a chance to overrun your pond apply one of the most important preventative pond maintenance products, pond dye. 

Sanco Industries has three different colors of pond dye to choose from:

Crystal Blue is our most popular pond dye coloring the water a true blue tint.  Ocean Blue is a turquoise color and comparable to Aquashade’s color. Black Out has been primarily used on golf courses in the past but is gaining popularity in residential and personally owned ponds.  Black Out will give the pond a deep lake effect and mirrors the surrounding landscape. 

Pond dye is a very important preventative maintenance step in early spring because you are unable to use algaecides or herbicides until the water temperatures reach approximately 50 degrees.  Pond dye can be introduced as soon as your ice melts.
