Pond Dye

10 Apr 2011
Many pond owners do not want to use pond dye because they fear it will look unnatural.  However, just like hair color there are more natural colors and there are more eccentric colors to choose from. The color of a pond dye also depends on the amount you use.  Sanco has three different pond dyes to choose from.

Crystal Blue contains only blue dye giving your pond a beautiful royal blue tint.  The Ocean Blue is derived from blue and yellow dye.  Ocean Blue will give your pond a turquoise tint.  Black Out is the newest colorant choice Sanco has to offer and is most often used by golf courses to give the pond a deep lake effect and mirror the surrounding landscape.

We recommend that you simply try one of our pond dyes.  Start out with a minimal dose and if you want a deeper tint than add some more.  If you are unhappy with the color of your pond, it will dissipate in approximately 30-60 days.  At that point you can try a different color pond dye.  There are many myths about pond dyes, but Sanco can help you decipher the myths from the truth in terms of pond dye.
