We produce all sorts of dyes...pond dyes, mulch dyes, and spray pattern indicators. If not used with caution, dyes can cause a mess! When it comes to keeping clean, we know a few tricks!
When handling, make sure to wear gloves and protective glasses to avoid possible staining & splashing. If you happen to get any dye on your skin, a few washes with warm water and dish soap should get most - if not all - of it out on the first try. More concentrated stains may take multiple days & washes.
When mixing products such as Mulch Worx or Lazer, we would recommend mixing over a grassy area if possible. If there happens to be a spill or dripping, then your driveway, garage, or other undesirable areas can be kept dye-free! Just be sure to not step in any spills to avoid tracking it into any unwanted areas.
Our Crystal Blue pond & lake dyes do not need diluted before application. The closer you are able to pour directly into the water will reduce the chances of splashing. If there is significant wind, pour pond dyes with the direction of the wind to avoid getting any on yourself.
Let's say you accidentally track some Lazer Blue onto your concrete driveway. Because our dyes are concentrates, adding water to a spill will just help spread the color more. Treat spills by soaking up as much of the product as possible using oil absorbent materials or rags. Follow with bleach to prevent stains where possible on bleachable surfaces. Depending on the severity, this might take a few rounds of bleach, but know that sun will help naturally bleach any areas as well.
