5 Step Easy Care System

 

  • Enhances the color of your pond or lake all year long.
  • Apply Feb. thru Nov. for early season treatment.
  • Natural Pond Cleaner Safely and effectively breaks down muck and dead vegetation.
  • Apply Feb. thru Nov. for early season treatment.
  • Kills Algae and maintains water quality. When Algae currently exists, start with Step 3.
  • Apply April thru September for filamentous and Planktonic Algae control.
  • Kills floating and submerged weeds that are copper sulfate resistant. When weeds currently exist, start with step 4.
  • Apply April thru September for weed control.
  • Kills emerged rooted weed down to the root.  Specially formulated for cattail control. When emerged weeds exist, start with step 5.
  • Apply April thru September for weed control.

Early Spring (February thru April)

  • Colors and enhances the appearance of your pond or lake.
  • 1 gallon per surface acre 4-6ft. deep
  • Digests muck and other organic material.
  • Clears out dead material from winter, ie. fish, debris, muck, and sludge.
  • Eliminate algae for a beautiful and safe pond all year long.
  • Use Weed Plex for weed control.
  • This non-selective Aquatic Herbicide is preferably used during early growth stages of all submerged, floating and marginal weeds.
  • Kills Hydrilla, Duckweed, Water Grass and Naiad
  • Use Catt Plex emerged Aquatic weed control.
  • This non-selective Aquatic Glyphosate is preferably used during early growth stages of Cattails and other emerged aquatic weeds.
  • Mix 2oz. per gallon to make a 1 1/2% solution.

Late Spring (May thru June)

  • Continue to build volume of healthy bacteria for the reduction of micro nutrients.
  • Weed plants should be succulent and actively growing for best results.
  • Use this diquat based herbicide for weed control.
  • 1quart treats 1/4 acre of water.
  • Excellent for spot treatment.
  • Emerged plants should be actively growing for best results.
  • Use this systemic herbicide to kill down to the root.

(June thru August)

  • Treat again with Crystal Blue as rain may have lowered volume of color.
  • Crystal Blue colorant also helps settle out floating material.
  • Natural Pond Cleaner is key  during warm summer months as rain and fertilizer run-off invades pond.
  • Dead algae sinks to bottom and becomes muck. Use Natural Pond Cleaner to safely remove the material.
  • Shoreline algae possibly resurfaces.
  • Safe for fish, livestock, and waterfowl when applied per label directions.  Some exceptions may apply.  Read directions thoroughly.
  • Weed Plex Pro is excellent for immediate burn down of submerged floating, and marginal weeds.
  • Read label for restrictions.
  • Mix 1 qt. Weed Plex Pro with 10 gallons of water to treat floating and submerged vegetation.
  • Emerged plants should be actively growing for best results.
  • Use this systemic herbicide to kill down to the root.

(September thru December)

  • Continue through fall with Crystal Blue.
  • Color enhancement
  • Healthy ponds have high bacteria counts. It is important to maintain high levels of good bacteria.
  • Clean out dead vegetation and muck heading into winter.
  • Still possible to encounter later season algae.
  • Still possible to encounter late season submerged weeds.
  • Controls most species of weeds in fall. Spray directly in the area of growth for best results.
  • Plex Mate should be used with floating weed treatments to help stick herbicide to plant.
  • This is not a good time to spray with Catt Plex due to plant maturity
  • Southern regions may have occasions to proceed with treatment.
